The Heart Attack Sutra: Your Koan of Fearlessness
with Karl Brunnhölzl
04.-06.11.2022
We are very happy to announce that → Karl Brunnhölzlwill give us Teachings on the Heart Sutra.
The Heart Sutra is no doubt one of the most famous and most recited texts throughout the Buddhist world. But apart from being a spiritual text in which the most frequently used word is “NO” and which seems to leave us with no answers, what does it really mean?
During this weekend we will explore both traditional and modern approaches to understand the message of this short and profound text in detail and at the same time let go of it.
What does it mean that the Heart Sutra can cause a heart attack (or mind attack)? What does true fearlessness mean? How can we understand the Heart Sutra as a koan? And how can we use the sutra as a contemplative tool for our daily life and as a personal meditation instruction?
